About the project

‘I am Brazuca’ is the interactive film experience that launched the official 2014 World Cup adidas ball, Brazuca. The idea was simple, take viewers on a fully immersive journey through the perspective of the Brazuca. Allow them to see what the Brazuca sees in a 360° panoramic view port when prompted to do so or watch the film in linear form. What resulted was the first interactive, 360-degree film ever released on YouTube.

My role

As the lead Interactive Art Director on this project  I was tasked to come up with a visual direction and UX. Working closely with the team we created custom graphics, a functional 360 video player, developed a seamless user flow, and also directed animations. In the early stages we even developed ways to rig up the 360 cameras for the ball perspective.

Experience it yourself

This is the full 360 film experience that we created.
