About the project
The Dew Tour is a summer sports event, which focuses on extreme sports and sponsored by motor company Toyota. The team was tasked to create a series of posters and collateral featuring Toyota’s top action sports athletes- Jamie Bestwick, Greg Lutzka and Bob Burnquist. We came up with the concept ‘Clash Of The Colossal’ which puts the athletes as larger than life creatures much like Japanese Monster movies posters from the 60’s and 70’s.
My role
As designer/art director I teamed up with fellow creatives, Mike Czako and Bob Fremgen to concept and develop this idea. Additionally, I created custom fonts for title treatments, and several campaign logos. Working closely with illustrator Tavis Coburn I sketched out layouts that he then brought to life.
Monster Mash
The campaign had three main posters. Each one
was unique to the personality and sport of the athlete.
